Young girl injured in horse riding fall at Rydal Show|
A 13-year-old girl has been seriously injured after falling off her horse at the Rydal Show on Saturday afternoon.
She was air-lifted by helicopter to a trauma hospital in Sydney for precautionary measures only.
She has full movement and feeling in her limbs and the rest of her body.
An ambulance from Lithgow attended the scene and treated the girl before the helicopter arrived.
The girl was competing in a bending race when she fell off her horse and was injured.
The patient is from the lower Blue Mountains-Hawkesbury region and was reportedly in good spirits as she was treated on scene.
She still had a good sense of humour and said having a helicopter ride was on her bucket list.
She is an experienced rider and has been riding horses since she was 15 months old.
